PRESIDENT

  The responsibilities of the President are many and varied. As the organizational leader, implements the goals set by the Board. Coordinates the schedule with Exhibition Director and develops NWS budget with the assistance of  the Treasurer. Foremost, supports the Directors of the Board as we serve all our National Watercolor Society members  in our pursuit of excellence in watercolor. 

VICE PRESIDENT - AWARDS DIRECTOR

   The Vice President heads up committees and chairs various projects. Stands in for the President when needed.  Additionally, as the Awards Director oversees and develops fundraising to support the Awards programs and the organization.

PAST PRESIDENT - INTERIM EXHIBITION DIRECTOR

   The Past President serves as an Advisor to the Board of Directors.  Additionally, as the Interim Exhibition Director, prepares materials and directs all activities for the International Exhibition and Annual Members Exhibition, and advises the selected jurors of policies and procedures to ensure integrity and fairness to all entrants. 

TREASURER

   The Treasurer assist the President in development of the budget, receives and deposits all monies of the society and reports monthly to the Board. In addition, presents an annual Financial summary to the  membership at the annual Business Meeting. 

SECRETARY

   The Secretary is to be present at each Board meeting to record the minutes. In addition, the secretary retains a copy of the by-laws at the meeting and is familiar with them to serve as an advisor to the Board when actions seem to be in conflict. 

MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR

   The Membership Director manages all membership functions - dues, renewal, recruitment - and maintains membership records.

EDUCATION DIRECTOR

   The Education Director oversees all the NWS Education Programs and Special Projects.  

BUILDING DIRECTOR

  The Building Director provides leadership and operational oversight for the effective management of building assets, ensuring the building remains safe, functional, and adaptable to evolving needs. 

NEWSLETTER DIRECTOR

   The Newsletter Director collects and edits news and information of interest, and publishes a quarterly newsletter that is distributed to all members.

WEB DIRECTOR

   The Web Director is responsible for maintaining and updating the NWS website and addresses any problems related to the functioning of the site.

PUBLICITY DIRECTOR

   The Publicity Director manages all news, information and PR materials sent out in all forms and is responsible for the publicity and public relations of the society.
