THE ScholARTship AWARD
Established in 2020, the NWS ScholARTship Award may be given as part of the Member Exhibition and International Open Exhibition. NWS ScholARTship awards may take the form of a critique, a portfolio review, or a mentorship that has been donated by a Master Artist from the watercolor community. The exhibition juror selects a participating artist (that did not receive any other award) for a ScholARTship with the donating watercolor professional. This is made possible via electronic communication: Face-time, Video, Chat, Skype, Zoom or Email.
The ScholARTship award is open to all artists accepted into the NWS MemberExhibition or International Open Exhibition who indicate a willingness to be considered for a ScholARTship award on their acceptance forms.
The National Watercolor Society is a 501c(3) nonprofit and supports artists with exhibitions and education. The ScholARTship helps to fulfill the NWS promotion of education for artists in the watermedia community. The NWS ScholARTship program is overseen by the Education Director.
