Since 1925, The National Watercolor Society has chosen a select group of paintings to travel the U.S. as ambassadors of the NWS and the fine artists within its membership. Reaching fine art venues across the country, the NWS Traveling Exhibition exposes the NWS and its members to thousands of additional patrons. Over the years, the traveling exhibition has included works by such American masters as Edward Hopper and Andrew Wyeth, and contemporary masters including Cheng Khee Chee, and John Salminen. Approximately 30 paintings from the annual show are juried into the travel exhibition and spend the next year being displayed in venues representing some of finest galleries in the country.
