Ken Goldman, Demo/Lecture

MY 45 YEAR ARTISTIC JOURNEY IN 45 MINUTES

This lecture begins by showing Ken’s early artwork and professional life as an ornithologist/naturalist, bird artist and Natural History Museum muralist/exhibits designer. Then it shows how his artwork evolved into figures, landscapes, public murals, semi-abstracted images, healing mural designs for hospitals, recent figure and landscape oils, acrylics, ink drawings and watercolors. This presentation concludes with a step-by-step watercolor demonstration of one of Ken’s paintings.

Ken Goldman, NWS, AWS, SDWS, currently serves as the President of the National Watercolor Society. He is an internationally-known artist, author, teacher and art juror; a recipient of numerous awards; and has exhibited in group and solo shows around the world.  The author of eight instructional books, Goldman teaches figure painting, artistic anatomy and plein air landscape at the Athenaeum School of the Arts in La Jolla and in workshops across the country.
